June 2008 ack Talk is a column designed to address questions from YOU, the viewer. Inspired by Dr. Susan Willhauck’s book Back Talk, it is our desire to create a forum that connects the viewer and us. Please email your questions and begin the conversation.
King for the Day. Plan a day filled with dad’s favorite activities. Perhaps you can give him some “tee time” or get tickets to a baseball game. You can also get together with some other families and plan time for the dads to go fishing for the day. The moms and children can also prepare a special dinner for the dads upon their arrival home from their day out as King. Donations. Make a donation in
his name to his favorite charitable cause. Breakfast/Brunch in Bed. Wake up extra early so you have time to prepare breakfast fit for a king. Choose a meal that you know dad will love. Put the meal on a tray with the morning paper. Dad is sure to enjoy some quiet time reading and eating from the comfort of his own bed. Coupon Book of Love. A coupon book is a great way to provide your service to dad, free of charge. Simply cut some paper into the size of coupons and write in things that you are willing to do for dad, free of charge and complaining! Cooking a special meal, doing your chores, or cutting the grass are some ideas to include in your coupon book. Dream Fund. Perhaps you can’t
afford that boat or Harley that dad has always wanted; but you can take an old
glass canning jar and some puffy paints (the same ones you use on material);
draw a picture of the desired item on the jar and label it “Dad’s Dream Fund”.
The children can donate some of their piggy bank money or allowance to the
cause, and you can put some money in and commit to save and contribute to the
fund until you reach the goal. Dad will love the thought and it will be fun to
see the fund grow and the ream realized!!! Have fun celebrating Dad! Send us your questions. It is important that we hear your thoughts and feelings on the taboo subjects that we cover. Your questions can connect us as a community that brings about change in the society around us. Please email your questions and begin the conversation.

a topic that just speaks to your heart, that you feel passionate about,
please contact us. We would love to hear from you and to dialogue with you
about how we can get your show on the air.
