Consider the ways in which the church has focused on Christ as male as opposed to Christ’s humanity, thereby precluding women’s full participation in the institution; the reality is that we all live and believe from some portrayed particular context and our experiences influence and shape us in myriad ways, sometimes making it all but impossible for some of us to see ourselves reflected in the living God as God is traditionally.
