"Admiration of a Mother"

Barer of life, but only because Christ made it right
The right conditions to hold a life, in her womb.
So consumed, she became by your life, your existence
Your presence, the effervescence she experienced
The new gift of clairvoyance she gained,
The endurance she learned through the pain
The smile she wore through the rain
All because of you, there’s nothing she won’t do
Her life is your life
Giving breath when you couldn’t breathe
Blood when you couldn’t breathe
Water when you thirst and healing when you hurt
God gave her authority
God gave her strength
To transcend to any end,
Protect your life,
And show you what’s right
And always fight what God deems the “good fight”

She sacrifices with a joyful heart
Has given it all right from the start
She’s never absent and always there
You’ve never had to doubt she cares
She dries your tears while facing fears

Unsure of answers
But confident she appears
Strong and fearless she always seems
She’s Director and facilitator of all your dreams
God gave us many gifts and some we forget
Leaving us later to live to regret
Recognize your mother with just a little love
A small gift of thankfulness to the One from above

 

This month, we at Chap’s Expressions admire all mothers who have, sacrificed and invested in the lives of their children. Children are a true gift from God, but as we all know, “To whom much is given, much is required.” We would like to extend words of encouragement and admiration to every mother, recognizing that it is not always easy, but will always be noted. You will be always recognized, even if only by God for the stewardship exercised over one of His greatest and most enigmatic gifts. Let us all take the time to recognize our mother’s and all those who have acted as such throughout our lives. Let them know that it has not gone unnoticed and will always be appreciated, likely more than they will ever know.
