everal weeks ago I was watching an episode of Dr. Phil in which a young man by the name of Matt Dubay argued that he should not have to undertake financial responsibility in raising a child that he did not want to bare. According to Dubay, he had made it very clear to his, then girlfriend, that he was not ready to be a father and she in turn assured him that due to a physical condition and use of birth control, she could not conceive a child. However, she did and after being ordered to pay $500 per month in child support a men’s right group, on behalf of Matt Dubay took before the courts a case arguing that just as a woman has the legal right to opt out of an unwanted pregnancy through means of abortion or adoption, so should a man have the right to opt out of the financial responsibility of caring for a child.

he memories, moments and experiences between a father and daughter can be enjoyable. There also can be some unpleasant experiences as well, but the good outweighs the bad. I remember the times when my father bought watermelons. He would remove the seeds, cut it to bite size pieces and put them in a container to be refrigerated. Although he did that for the family, it was special to me. I had moments that were not so great when he had to discipline me.
